let me ask you a question will this process work for a brand new league with no players built in the league? I have built all the players in excel with the format being the same as the way the csv gets exported out. So will this process work for me to import all the players back in? I know more than likely they would import in to the unassigned list???
Any help is much appreciated

Before you start, you need to download again the file because I edited one to be able to do this. Import_drs.vbs was looking for "," and excel was saving as ";". You need to export to csv. 1. File -> Save As CSV (Comma delimited) (*.csv) -> Save -> It will show an alert (Press Yes) Now, you need to convert it to .drs 2a. Type "cd %HOMEPATH%\Downloads\dfc\scripts\". To select the scripts folder of DFC. 2b. Type "Import_drs.vbs LHSX2.csv LHSX2.drs". If a security warning is prompted, just click Open. And voila! You got the .drs back. I need to redownload the DFC.zip file on your page? sorry i want this to work lol just trying to wrap my head around the import process. The export process worked just fine but i get an error when trying to import with the command line

Do you use my Import_drs.vbs, because, this error is from exactly where I modified it! Just redownload the dfc.zip and you will get my version.

Good Morning guys,
I loved to read out this possibility to rerate players outside the SIM. That could help us a lot to minimze effort for that. Maybe you could help with two related questions.
1. Is it possible to add players in the excel which is converted to drs. file later? My intention is to fill in the rookies there and avoid some work doing it in the SIM. 2. what would happen if I load the drs in a totally new league file? are all players unassigned in this moment or is there an error?
Thanks for help!

Ok i finally have a grip on how this process works. If anyone is wanting to know how i did it here is my method and it worked without no issues This method requires 2 tools DFC Export_drs.vbs script FHL Tools you will need to use Eric's method using the DFC scripts to export the rosters fantasysimhockey.freeforums.net/post/2931- export DRS to CSV using dfc scripts 2- after you have the roster in csv do whatever you want with the file but make sure you keep in the same format (i copy to another excel file do what i need then copy back) 3- After you're finished editing the csv file then import csv roster into FHL tools 4- export DRS unassigned in FHL Tools 5- backup current league files 6- take your current DRS file and remove from your batch of league files. Put your DRS that you exported from FHL Tools and add to your current batch of league files. Rename the newly exported DRS file to match the name of your other league files. (example current league file names = league1a so your FHL tool output would be league1a.drs) 7- After you have renamed the new DRS file to match your league files go to file > database > Merge DB 8- this should update all players with new ratings I tried to explain this to where its not confusing if you have any issues i will attempt to help Thanks
