The db script was running fine on windows xp, but not in the other windows version... you need to use command-line to extract infos.

only question's i have is it normal for the outputted info no to be in the correct columns?
like for example say in the vet/rookie column it has some of the players with L or R for hand
also if i was to start a new league and i put all the info in this format could i potentially import this info in to a DRS?

yes... but verify it before to do this! It's going to be maybe tricky!

Do i need to make sure everything is in the correct columns or will this mess up the import when i go to put back in the DRS?

Before you start, you need to download again the file because I edited one to be able to do this. Import_drs.vbs was looking for "," and excel was saving as ";".
You need to export to csv. 1. File -> Save As CSV (Comma delimited) (*.csv) -> Save -> It will show an alert (Press Yes)
Now, you need to convert it to .drs 2a. Type "cd %HOMEPATH%\Downloads\dfc\scripts\". To select the scripts folder of DFC. 2b. Type "Import_drs.vbs LHSX2.csv LHSX2.drs". If a security warning is prompted, just click Open.
And voila! You got the .drs back.
