BoxScore v1.77Boxscore.zip (99.02 KB)Created by Dominik Lavoie & Modified by Alexandre Dumont You need to install an old ActivePerl (5.24 and lower) in order to run this program : ActivePerl 5.24.3Instructions: 1- Download and Install ActivePerl (5.24.3) or lower with the typical installation. 2- Download "BoxScore.zip" and extract it where you wanted it. 3- Edit the "BoxFile/Config.pm". Make sure to edit the file path correctly. 4- In your extracted folder, if the "boxscore.pl" doesn't have Perl icon, you need to set the path of the ActivePerl. Right click on "boxscore.pl" -> Property -> Open With Modify -> More Apps -> Look for an app on my PC -> "C:\Perl64\bin\perl.exe" -> Open -> Apply -> The icon should have changed! 5- Launch "boxscore.pl" 6- It should create "TodayGames.html" in your configured directory!
7- If it doesn't work, try to run the "debug.bat" file and look where is the error. |

So i upgraded to windows 10...i run 2 sim leagues, one from C drive and one from E drive (external).
My today's games worked on C but when I run on E it did not work...i checked the config, no changes etc so no idea why it worked on C but not on E.
Anyone have any knowledge of what could be causing issue?

Edit 2020-05-09:
1- I installed ActivePerl (5.24.3) with the typical installation.
2- I copied Leaders, Schedule, Standings, TeamScoring, Rosters and All games .html files in my External USB Drive. F:/FHLSim/
3- I downloaded "BoxScore.zip" and extract it in "C:/USERS/Downloads/BoxScore/"
4- I edited the "Config.pm"
5- If the "boxscore.pl" doesn't have Perl icon, you need to set the path of the ActivePerl. Right click on "boxscore.pl" -> Property -> Open With Modify ->More Apps ->Look for an app on my PC -> "C:\Perl64\bin\perl.exe" -> Open -> Apply -> The icon should have changed!
6- I launched "boxscore.pl"

Have you tried to run the "debug.bat" and see if it shows you some errors?

Thanks Eic...ran the debug, showed a write error....turns out my E drive folder somehow had security blocking me writing to todays games.

5- I launched "boxscore.pl" Hi,
I have the config file done, but for some reason the .pl file extension is associated with notepad on my PC and when I launch it it just opens in that. Could you please tell me what I should set the "Open With" setting for .pl files? |

OK I think this might be the file association?
And do I have this installed in the right place?
Some basic simple instructions would go a long way, I just cannot find any information on this stuff.

Slanger Try to open it with bin/perl.exe The new versions seems to do not work with this add-on. I will add more infos soon... Edit:In the version 5.26 and higher, you can't use the ActivePerl. I will update the main post soon. Bug:Can't locate BoxFile/Config.pm in @inc (you may need to install the BoxFile::Config module) (@inc contains: C:/Perl64/site/lib C:/Perl64/lib) at boxscore.pl line 19. BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at boxscore.pl line 19. If you get this, you need an older installation of the ActivePerl. If you are crazy enough to loose your time, there is a fix for it, copy/paste the folder BoxFile into the folder "C:/Perl64/site/lib" and it should works. Just remember to configure the file config.pm in this folder!

Thanks eclerc. I was able to get it partially working but need to do some more work on it today.
I will change the default app to perl.exe instead of the one I have and see what difference it makes.

Alright so have made a lot of progress with this but there are a few issues maybe someone can help me with:
1 - For some reason the goalie stats (Name-Saves-W/L/T) are not displaying in the boxes on TodayGames.html
I am assuming it has something to do with one or both of these two section in the Box.pm file?
2 - There is one team who's player stats (Who's Hot/Not and Team Leaders) are not displaying on the game matchup page. I can't see any reason for this, maybe some insight? There is nothing anomolous about the team name and there are no typos in any altered file.
3 - Is there any way to make the list of Goaltender Leaders at the bottom of TodayGames.html longer?
4 - Can I make the logos bigger? On the TodayGames.html page it makes sense to leave them as is but on the Matchups pages I would love to have larger logos at the top.

Not really sure about 1) but I remember it being buggy a bit, for me it some times shows the wrong goalie on the todaysgames page.
2) My guess there is something wrong with the abbrevation not matching what you have in the sim?
3) Dont think so, this is taken from the leagueleaders page if i am not all wrong
4) Logo size is limited to 25x25 on the todaysgames and 38x38 in the matchup page

No, have not touched anything in there.
Regarding #2 (matchup page stats not showing for one team) I've noticed that teams with spaces in their names can cause errors in displays, and that particular team has a space.
There are 4 teams in my league that have a space in their name, and I have seen issues with all of them. But there is only one of them that is not displaying the stats on the matchups pages. The 3 others have display errors but the stats are there.

Is that maybe the team with the dash in its name? I dont know for sure, but just guessing anything but a letter (" " or "-") might cause some issue |
